Red Setter - Year 5
Class Teacher - Mrs Olding
Following a whole-school election, the children decided to name this year's classes after dogs. The coat of the red setter is moderately long, silky, and of a red or chestnut colour. They get along well with children and will enthusiastically greet visitors. Setters are originally guns dogs. They enjoy having a job to do. Lack of activity will lead to a bored and destructive. This is not a breed that can be left alone in the backyard for long periods of time as they thrive on constant human companionship. They respond well to positive training and are highly intelligent. Setters are also widely used as therapy dogs in schools and hospitals.
